EHS Safety Trainings

Shop Safety Training

All RIT students, faculty, and staff are mandated by the RIT office of Environmental Health and Safety to complete a Shop Safety Training before accessing any resources in the makerspace. As of January 2026, these trainings have been split across 2 platforms; MyCourses for students, and Workday for faculty and staff.

Laser Safety Training

All RIT students, faculty, and staff are mandated by the RIT office of Environmental Health and Safety to complete a Laser Safety Training before using any lasers in the makerspace.
